Data Cleanse

Improve Address Quality
Incorrectly addressed mail looks unprofessional and can affect how clients view your company.
Trying to manually update a large database is a time consuming and laborious task, which is prone to manual keying errors. On top of this many client and prospect addresses change and they often do not tell you, so your address database becomes out of date.
1.5 million people move each year and for those that do not move about 2% of postcodes change each year, resulting in approximately 500,000 postcode changes.
Data Creative can help
We can clean up your valuable consumer and business address and telephone number data in a number of ways.

PAF Verification

UK Address Verification:
We compare your data against the latest Royal Mail PAF database of 27 million addresses and update accordingly. Where a match is found missing address elements can be added such as towns or telephone numbers, and postcodes corrected.
Non-UK Address Verification:
We can now compare your PAF data with over 230 different countries. When matches are found we can add address elements that were missing from your data before.

Movers / Gone Aways

Movers:
When addressees move they often tell Royal Mail where. We compare your data against the latest Royal Mail NCOA database and update the addresses to the new forwarding address where there is a match. More >>
'Gone Away' suppression:
There is also a list of 'Gone Aways' where there is no forwarding address. Address lists can be scanned against the 'Gone Away' list and matching records removed, to reduce postage costs. More >>

Preference Service

Don't waste your time!
It is pointless, expensive and sometimes illegal to mail, telephone and fax to prospects that do not want to receive your message.

Don't call me! - 480,000 households joined the Telephone Preference Service in 2001
Don't fax me! - Fax-marketers can use our FPS service to help comply with the new data protection regulations that came into force on 1st May 1999.
Don't mail me! -240,000 people per year join the Mailing Preference Service.

Deceased

Deceased Suppression.
Approximately 700,000 people die in the UK each year. Mailing to the deceased causes offence and is wasteful. Addresses are scanned against 'deceased' lists. Where a match is found the address can be removed from the mailing list.
Removing deceased individuals from marketing communications, not only reduces wasted mail costs for an organisation but also reduces the risk of causing emotional distress for the family of the deceased individuals. Mailing deceased individuals is the single largest cause of complaints to the Information Commissioners Office. More >>
