Mailsort

Maximise savings: Royal Mail Mailsort services offer reduced postage prices, sometimes exceeding 45%. Royal Mail charge a discounted rate as the mail is supplied part sorted. Royal Mail require the mailings to be:

• a minimum of 4000 letters or 1000 packets to UK addresses.
• sorted into geographical regions and districts and bagged up accordingly.
• Mailsort reports in a set format to be supplied along with the mailing.

We can help! Data Creative can take your data, Mailsort it, then either organise the mailing for you or forward the Mailsorted data and Mailsort reports to a mailing house of your choice. We work with mailing houses large and small, and directly with marketing staff. In-house software: Over the past 10 years, Data Creative Ltd have developed Mailsort processing to cope with the inaccuracies of real address data. Unformatted Addresses: Our software uses pattern matching to search for the postcode in the address. It also takes account of common keying errors e.g. character O in postcode instead of number 0. Incomplete addresses:The Royal Mail allows up to 10% of a Mailsort mailing to have incomplete or invalid postcodes as long as there is a valid UK post town in the address. To ensure clients benefit from this, our software checks addresses with invalid postcodes against a database of UK postal towns. Any addresses that match gain a Mailsort Residue discount. International Addresses: We include an international sort as part of our Mailsorting price. International addresses, e.g. the Republic of Ireland, Europe and Rest of World, are not just separated out from the UK mailings, they are sorted into Royal Mail International zones and individual countries.
