Tim Wharton Antiques

Tim Wharton Antiques is an established company who specialize in selling 17th to 19th century oak and country furniture. Tim Wharton started the business in 1970, and is now a member of some highly respected antique dealer associations. Due to the large amount of antiques he buys and sells Tim Wharton needed a website he could update himself, adding and removing antiques. We decided there should be a simple to use admin section on the website, where Tim could easily maintain the various stock items and news articles without any html knowledge.
Usually we supply our customers with a couple of designs to choose from.
Objectives
  • Allow visitors to easily browse all the latest antiques available.
  • Build a content management system to enable Tim Wharton Antiques to upload photos, descriptions, category and other antique information onto the site. For example an antique candle holder would belong in the metalware category. It's also possible for administrators to add/delete categories.
  • The content management system also allows administrators to upload news articles with links and pictures.
Features
  • Regularly updated dynamic content
  • Visitors can contact TWA about specific antiques easily. The system creates an email including information on the antique they have selected.
  • Visitors can search an antique database via a simple search box, or using more advanced selection criteria.
