Salutations
Reason for Salutation Creation:
Often address data is provided with the majority of the name data OK but some Titles, Forenames or Surnames are missing. The salutation creation module intelligently reviews the data available and creates the most appropriate salutation from the data available.
Formal and Informal Salutation
We can create formal and informal salutations using data provided with separate Title, Forename, Surname and Suffix fields or after Name Parsing. To format the names in a standard manner, you may want to have the names further processed with First Letter Capitalisation.
Example 1 - Formal Salutation Creation:
The example below show the results of Formal Salutation processing for a variety of names supplied.
If insufficient data for a formal salutation is available an informal salutation is created.
If there is insufficient data for an informal or an informal salutation then a default salutation, set by the client, is used.
In this example, the default salutation has been set as "Sir / Madam".
